 Gordmans’
retail presence is enhanced by the Company’s support of the local
communities in which it operates as Gordmans maintains a long-standing
commitment to give back to the communities that have made the Company
so successful.
Gordmans and its guests support local educational systems several times a year through the sales of $1 “Helping Hands” for Partners in Education,
plus a large donation is made with each new store opening. Since the
program’s inception in 2000, Gordmans and its guests have donated more
than $800,000 to school systems throughout the Midwest and surrounding
states.
And education isn’t the only thing Gordmans has
supported. Chainwide, the Company has supported the American Heart
Association, March of Dimes, American Red Cross, Multiple Sclerosis
Society, United Way, JDRF and many others. Locally, individual stores and the
corporate office and distribution center support various activities of
nonprofits in their neighborhoods from fulfilling holiday wish lists
for children served by the Nebraska Children’s Home to collecting
winter coats for the Salvation Army.
