Gordmans Announces Relocation of La Vista, Neb., Store
OMAHA, Neb. - Aug. 10, 2006: Gordmans, Inc., an Omaha-based apparel and home fashions retailer, has announced that its La Vista, Neb., store will be relocating to a new lifestyle shopping center in nearby Papillion, Neb. The Company will build a 50,000-square-foot store in the Shadow Lake Towne Center project under construction by RED Development of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Kansas City, Mo., in partnership with The Lerner Company of Omaha.

Shadow Lake Towne Center, located at Highway 370 and 72nd Street, will integrate a wide selection of shopping opportunities and restaurants in an easily accessible environment. With 880,000 square feet of retail space, the center will be similar to but larger than the 600,000 square-foot Village Pointe, another Omaha-area lifestyle center by RED Development with Quantum Quality Real Estate. Besides Gordmans, other major retailers at the new shopping center will include American Eagle Outfitters, Bed, Bath & Beyond; Best Buy; The Buckle; Christopher & Banks; Claire’s; Famous Footwear; JC Penney; Justice; Maurices; Old Navy; and PetSmart.

The development serves Nebraska and western Iowa’s fastest-growing county, Sarpy County, and as the southern portion of the Omaha metropolitan area continues to thrive, Shadow Lake Towne Center is positioned to take advantage of this phenomenal growth through a dynamic retail setting.

Gordmans’ La Vista store at 8100 S. 84th St. will operate until shortly before the new Shadow Lake Towne Center store opens its doors next March. Employees of the La Vista Gordmans will be given the opportunity to transfer to the new Papillion location, and the company also expects to hire new employees for the larger new store.

Gordmans currently operates eight Nebraska stores including two in Omaha and two in the surrounding communities of La Vista and Bellevue. The Company also operates a store in Council Bluffs, Iowa, which is adjacent to Omaha. The other four Nebraska Gordmans stores are located in Fremont, Grand Island, Hastings and Lincoln.

Four more Gordmans stores are scheduled to open this fall in Memphis, Tenn.; Lafayette, Ind.; and Lexington, Ky.
