Gordmans Celebrates Grand Opening of Third Memphis-Area Store
Company Announces Grand Opening of Cordova Store; Contributes $5,000 to Shelby County Schools

OMAHA, Neb. - March 20, 2007: Gordmans, Inc., an Omaha-based apparel and home fashions retailer, will celebrate the grand opening weekend of its third Memphis-area store starting Friday, March 30. The 60,000-square-foot store opens tomorrow at 2281 N. Germantown Pkwy. in the Countrywood Crossing shopping center in Cordova.

“We have a mission at Gordmans to delight our guests with big savings on name brands in fun, easy-to-shop stores,” said Jeff Gordman, president and CEO. “We’re looking forward to introducing Cordova shoppers to our beautiful new store and to the latest name brand fashions in apparel for the family, footwear, accessories and home decor.”

Like Gordmans’ other Memphis-area stores at 7761 Winchester Road in Memphis and 100 Towne Center Loop in Southaven, Miss., the Cordova store’s open and contemporary design is further enhanced by a children’s theater and sports-themed television viewing area.

Gordmans will present a $5,000 check to Shelby County Schools on Friday, March 30, to launch Partners in Education fundraising events in conjunction with the weekend’s grand opening festivities. Partners in Education is a community-school partnership program that provides a vehicle for businesses, government agencies, civic groups and faith organizations to make additional educational resources available to local public school systems. Gordmans customers at the new Cordova store may participate in this event by purchasing “helping hands” for $1 each now through Saturday, April 7. Every dollar raised will directly benefit Shelby County Schools. Since its involvement with Partners in Education, which began in 2000, Gordmans has contributed nearly $650,000 to this cause in 15 states throughout the country.

“Partners in Education gives Gordmans and our guests a means to make a difference in the educational systems of communities in which we operate,” said Gordman. “The collaboration also provides a great volunteer opportunity for our associates. We are excited about this partnership with Shelby County Schools.” The new Cordova Gordmans store has selected Chimneyrock Elementary as its partner school.

With the opening of the Cordova store, Gordmans now operates 63 stores in 15 states throughout the United States.
